Join OPC Pest Services in Supporting the Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

Thanksgiving meals
packed & ready to go!

At OPC Pest Services, our passion for community runs deep – it’s the heart of everything we do. We believe that a thriving community is the true measure of success, and nothing fills us with more joy than giving back in our area. As we wrap up our second annual Thanksgiving food drive, we are reminded of the power of coming together to support those in need!

For this year’s food drive, the OPC Bowling Green branch set a goal to provide 20 complete Thanksgiving meals to local families in need. Thanks to the outpouring of generosity from employees and customers, they far exceeded that goal. With nearly 400 donated items and 20 frozen turkeys filling the branch’s breakroom freezer, the food drive was a heartwarming success.

We spoke to Kelsey Gallihugh, Office Manager of the Bowling Green branch about the food drive. “I did recruit one of our new customers…They are SKY Properties, one of the largest property management companies in the area. They set out a donation box in their office for us too and we were able to receive quite a bit of donations! It was awesome,” she said. . Kelsey has been one of the main people leading the charge to collect donations and has done a great job coordinating the food drive with the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) over the last two years.

donated to the BRADD food pantry.

Each Thanksgiving meal kit included a 3-pound turkey breast and all the traditional sides –yams, cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes, and more – to make this holiday special for the families. The generosity didn’t stop there; with the abundance of donations, they were able to bless even more people by donating the extra items to the BRADD food pantry. This organization provides vital support to elderly and underprivileged families in Warren County and surrounding areas. As a long-time partner of OPC, BRADD provided the list of the 20 families in need, ensuring that the meals would reach those who needed it most!

Our commitment to our community goes far beyond pest control and it’s moments like these that remind us of why we do what we do. Helping those in our communities brings us great joy, and we look forward to expanding our efforts year after year to help our community grow stronger, together. Excellent work OPC Bowling Green, we are so proud!
