Stuffing for a Cause

During a recent sales meeting, OPC Pest Services came together with Western Fumigation, Waltham Pest Services, and Western Pest Services for networking, polishing their sales skills, and team building. In between those activities, they decided to partner with Sunday Breakfast Mission and create some stuffed animals!

OPC takes its values very seriously – especially “people are our top priority.” People doesn’t just mean our customers, though. It means the people who work at our company and anyone who lives or works in the communities around our branches. That’s why our charitable works are so important to us. When the OPC team comes together with these other brands, they make a point of choosing a charity and supporting it – as a team. It just happened to be stuffed animals this time!

Sunday Breakfast Mission provides care and support to many homeless, hurting, and hungry men, women, and children in the Wilmington, DE area. From emergency shelter to long-term rehabilitative programs and so many other community outreach programs, Sunday Breakfast Mission is dedicated to the families in that area. They are community investors. Since their inception Sunday Breakfast Mission has been concerned about their community at large, and this still holds true to today.

The charitable events and outreach Sunday Breakfast Mission does are so important. You may not think stuffed animals fit in, but they do. Imagine a child that is homeless. Or a child that is running from an abusive home. Or a child that is traumatized and hungry. Now imagine what a hug from a stuffed friend can do. It can represent love. It can represent security. It can represent safety. It can be someone to talk to, someone to hold onto at night, and someone to help soothe the pain away. If a stuffed tiger, giraffe, turtle, or any other animal can be all of those things, then the team at OPC was happy to help.

After stuffing and sewing, the team dropped the many stuffed animals off at Sunday Breakfast Mission. From there, the furry friends will be handed out to children in need. This just proves OPC is so serious about putting people first that you don’t have to be a customer to get first class service from them. Thank you to everyone that came together to help with this. It certainly makes us proud.
